Takehiro Tomiyasu and Bukayo Saka both make the first XI for Arsenal's Premier League clash with West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Bukayo Saka have both made the first XI for Arsenal's Premier League clash with West Ham United at the London Stadium, but there is no sign of Ben White.

Tomiyasu returned from his latest calf injury as a late substitute in last weekend's win over Manchester United after being ruled out of the Gunners' last nine Premier League games with the issue.

The Japanese right-back had not started a Premier League game since New Year's Day against Manchester City, but Mikel Arteta has deemed him fit enough to make the first XI here, with Cedric Soares back on the bench.

However, White - who was also not pictured in training earlier this week - is absent from the matchday squad, with Arsenal revealing that the England international is dealing with a tight hamstring.

As a result, Rob Holding is given the nod to start alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in front of Aaron Ramsdale, with Nuno Tavares still occupying the left-back role for the top-four chasing Gunners.

Mohamed Elneny is rewarded for his stellar performances against Chelsea and Manchester United with another start in the middle, leaving Albert Sambi Lokonga to warm the bench again.

There were initial concerns over Saka's fitness following his knock against Man United, but Arteta revealed in his pre-match press conference that the 20-year-old was expected to be fit for the London derby.

Saka does make the starting lineup at the London Stadium, and another goal from the penalty spot would see him become just the second-ever Arsenal player to score from 12 yards in three consecutive Premier League matches after Ian Wright.

Gabriel Martinelli is given the nod on the left over Emile Smith Rowe, meanwhile, and Martin Odegaard continues in his number 10 role for the visitors.

Despite Alexandre Lacazette only enjoying a better record against Southampton than West Ham in English football, Arteta has once again placed his faith in Eddie Nketiah to lead the Arsenal line.

Arsenal starting lineup: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, Holding, Gabriel, Tavares; Elneny, Xhaka, Odegaard; Saka, Martinelli; Nketiah

Subs: Leno, Cedric, Kirk, Swanson, Lokonga, Oulad M'hand, Smith Rowe, Pepe, Lacazette

As for West Ham, Mark Noble is given the nod to start alongside Declan Rice in the middle as Tomas Soucek enjoys a rest, and Issa Diop has also been given the green light to make the bench for the London derby.

While Michail Antonio is also rested, Jarrod Bowen, Manuel Lanzini, Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma make up a strong Hammers attack as they attempt to stop the Gunners returning to the top four of the Premier League table over Tottenham Hotspur.

As for West Ham, David Moyes has made a total of five alterations ahead of the second leg of their Europa League semi-final with Eintracht Frankfurt, but a relatively strong side sees Lukasz Fabianski line up against his former club in goal.

Kurt Zouma's return from injury means that Moyes has one recognised centre-back in his first XI, with Ryan Fredericks, Aaron Cresswell and Vladimir Coufal covering for the suspended Craig Dawson.

West Ham starting lineup: Fabianski; Coufal, Zouma, Cresswell, Fredericks; Rice, Noble; Fornals, Lanzini, Benrahma; Bowen

Subs: Areola, Diop, Alese, Masuaku, Kral, Soucek, Vlasic, Yarmolenko, Antonio
