Nuno Espirito Santo confirms that a decision is yet to made over Tottenham Hotspur's South American players ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo has not ruled out the possibility of the club's four South American players all featuring in Sunday's Premier League game with Newcastle United.

Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero, Emerson Royal and Davinson Sanchez are all late returns back from international duty having played their final international games in the early hours of Friday morning UK time.

Spurs had been expected to make do without all four players at St James' Park, but Santo's recent comments suggest that they could force their way into contention for Sunday.

Speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference, Santo said: "Yeah, they are travelling now. They will join us tomorrow and then we'll see.

"The reports that we have is that they finished their games well. Some of them played 90 minutes, Davinson Sanchez no, but what we are expecting is for them to join us and then we'll see."

The Spurs boss has also confirmed that Steven Bergwijn is back in training, but it remains to be seen if the attacker will be passed fit for the weekend.
