Ossie Ardiles backs Glenn Hoddle for Tottenham Hotspur job

Tottenham Hotspur legend Ossie Ardiles believes that Glenn Hoddle should become the next manager of the club.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Ossie Ardiles has backed Glenn Hoddle to become the next manager of the club.

Spurs are currently looking for a new boss following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas on Monday.

Ardiles believes that his former teammate Hoddle has the relevant experience of both the club and the Premier League to make an impact at White Hart Lane.

"For me, the man for the job is Glenn Hoddle," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"I think he is a wonderful manager and he is a lot more mature, so I think he will be a wonderful choice. He knows everything about the Premier League and Spurs especially."

Hoddle, Fabio Capello and Michael Laudrup are among the early favourties to be installed as the next Tottenham boss.
