Manchester United's signing of Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly see the club generate around £30m commercially in the next 12 months.

The 36-year-old officially re-joined the Red Devils from Juventus on Tuesday, signing a two-year contract with the option to extend it by a further year.

Juve also confirmed the deal from their end, revealing that €15m (£12.86m) would be paid upfront with a further €8m (£6.86m) coming in add-ons.

According to the Daily Mail, United could earn in excess of £30m during Ronaldo's first year back at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese international's arrival has already had an immediate financial impact on the Red Devils, as shares rocketed by almost 10% in price, adding around £212m to the value of the club.

United are believed to be paying Ronaldo around £385,000 per week - making him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League - which is still a reduction on the £500,000-a-week salary he was earning at Juventus.
