Manchester United eye Eduardo Camavinga as Paul Pogba replacement?

Manchester United reportedly identify 17-year-old Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba next summer.

Manchester United have reportedly identified Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba next summer.

Pogba reignited speculation over his future last week by admitting that it is his "dream" to play for Real Madrid, who have long been linked with his signature.

The 27-year-old's current contract expires next summer, although United do have the option to extend that by a further 12 months, which they are expected to trigger.

However, Spanish outlet AS reports that the Red Devils could still look to offload Pogba in 2021, with Juventus also interested in the France international.

The report claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Camavinga, who has also been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, as a replacement if Pogba does leave the club.

Camavinga has emerged as one of the most coveted youngsters in world football after establishing himself as a first-team regular for Rennes at the age of just 16 last season.

The now-17-year-old made his debut for France last week and is thought to be one of Madrid's top targets along with Kylian Mbappe and Erling Braut Haaland in an expected rebuild next summer.

Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in Camavinga.
