Manchester United have reportedly been monitoring Cristiano Ronaldo's situation at Juventus since April.

Manchester United have been monitoring Cristiano Ronaldo's situation at Juventus since April, with the attacker a target for the Red Devils this summer, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.

The 36-year-old enjoyed another impressive scoring season at Juve, finding the back of the net on 36 occasions in 44 appearances in all competitions.

The Portugal international has a contract with the Old Lady until next June, but there have been suggestions that he could move on in the upcoming market.

Talk of a return to Man United has been gathering pace in recent weeks, and according to Schira, the 20-time English champions have been discussing a move for the experienced forward since April.

The Italian journalist also claims that Ronaldo will meet with his Italian club 'in the next days' to discuss his future.

The Portuguese represented Man United between 2003 and 2009, scoring 118 goals in 292 appearances for the English giants ahead of a switch to Real Madrid.

The former Sporting Lisbon youngster was an unused substitute for Juve's final league game of the season against Bologna on May 23.
