Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Premier League clash with Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur are back in Premier League action on Thursday evening when they take on rivals Manchester United in North London.

Spurs - who sacked interim boss Cristian Stellini on Monday - are reeling from their 6-1 defeat at Newcastle United on Sunday, the Magpies scoring their opening five goals in the first 21 minutes at St James' Park.

As a result, Spurs have placed Ryan Mason in charge until the end of the season, and they enter the latest matchday sitting six points adrift of their fourth-placed opponents - who have played two games fewer - in the standings as they each look to earn Champions League football for next season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of a key clash with United at a time when their opponents have just reached the FA Cup final.

Hugo Lloris

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: Unknown

On the back of conceding five first-half goals to Newcastle, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was substituted at half time. Rather than it being performance-related, the Frenchman is said to have suffered a hip injury and he is all but ruled out of this contest.

Emerson Royal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: May 13 (vs. Aston Villa)

Emerson Royal is recuperating from knee surgery after sustaining a severe injury during the most recent international break, but the right-back is on course to return before the end of the campaign.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

In contrast, Rodrigo Bentancur will not return from his own knee operation before the end of the campaign, having picked up a worrying ACL injury in February's defeat to Leicester City.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 27 (vs. Manchester United)

While Ryan Sessegnon has been sidelined with a hamstring injury of late, the left-sided player could return to the squad on Thursday after recently taking part in training.

Yves Bissouma

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Yves Bissouma continues to rehabilitate from an operation to repair a stress fracture in his ankle, and there is currently no indication as to when the Mali midfielder will be back in action.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

With Lucas Moura having served a three-match ban, Spurs have no players suspended for this fixture.
