Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Liverpool on Wednesday, January 13.

The January transfer window is now open, with Liverpool continuing to be linked with a host of big names.

Jurgen Klopp has been forced to contend with a crippling injury crisis during the first half of the season, leading to speculation that the Premier League champions could move for a new defender this month.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.

Wednesday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:

Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to pay £200m in order to secure a deal for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.

Despite the World Cup winner having less than 18 months remaining on his contract, sporting director Leonardo has long insisted that the France international will not be sold during the summer.

However, the current financial climate may dictate that the Champions League runners-up will have to accept a big-money offer if it is presented to them ahead of 2020-21.

According to AS, long-term admirers Real have acknowledged that they may have to pay £200m to get the transfer over the line.

Los Blancos are said to be ready to sell six players in order to fund a move for the 22-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool.

The Spanish giants are in the process of reducing their wage bill, a task which will need to be intensified if they wish to accommodate the arrival of Mbappe.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 'end interest in Divock Origi, Olivier Giroud'

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly ended their interest in Liverpool's Divock Origi and Chelsea's Olivier Giroud.

The West Midlands outfit are expected to be without star striker Raul Jimenez for a number of months following his skull fracture, and 18-year-old Fabio Silva has struggled to find his shooting boots.

As a result, Nuno Espirito Santo has been tipped to bring in a new forward in January, but rather than dipping into their war chest, Wolves have recalled Patrick Cutrone from his loan spell at Fiorentina.

According to The Mirror, Santo had originally taken a liking to Origi and Giroud, but he has conceded that moves for either frontman will not happen this month.

The report adds that the club's owners are not willing to finance big-money moves in January due to their summer of spending, with Santo instead being told to make do with the players he currently has at his disposal.

Origi has only made three Premier League appearances for Liverpool this term, while Giroud has proven himself as an important player for Blues but is now in the final six months of his deal at Stamford Bridge.
