Granada held by Real Valladolid

Youssef El Arabi scores in the second half to earn Granada a 1-1 draw with Real Valladolid at home in La Liga.

Granada and Real Valladolid have played out a 1-1 draw in their La Liga game at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.

The match got off to a quick start as Nolito went close for the home side in the very first minute, but his shot from a difficult angle on the left went just wide.

Four minutes later Youssef El Arabi saw his header saved by Valladolid goalkeeper Jaime Jimenez Merlo and moments after he headed wide from Nolito's cross.

Granada continued to dominate proceedings at home, as Odion Ighalo, Mikel Rico, Nolito, El Arabi and Gabriel Torje all went close as the first half progressed.

Patrick Ebert had Valladolid's first attempt on goal in the match four minutes into the second half, but it was kept out by Granada goalkeeper Roberto.

The home side soon resumed their domination but conceded against the run of play on 58 minutes when Ebert fired home a direct free kick with his right foot.

Granada poured forward in search of an equaliser and earned the point in the 73rd minute through El Arabi, who headed in Diego Buonanotte's cross from close range.
