Fulham boss Martin Jol admits that he is impressed with Shahid Khan after meeting the club's new owner for the first time.

Fulham manager Martin Jol has revealed that he is impressed with Shahid Khan after meeting the club's new owner for the first time.

Jol and Cottagers captain Brede Hangeland flew to the USA on Friday during a break in the team's pre-season tour of Costa Rica.

Billionaire businessman Khan is also the owner of the NFL franchise the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"I'm delighted that Mr Khan has such a passion for football and has great ambitions for what we can achieve," Jol told the club's official website. "A link with the Jacksonville Jaguars is very exciting and I know we're all looking forward to a successful future together."

Fulham continue their tour on Saturday when they face Deportivo Saprissa.
