Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly expecting Chelsea to make their move for Adama Traore now that Spain's Euro 2020 campaign is over.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are expecting Chelsea to make a formal approach for winger Adama Traore, according to a report.

The former Barcelona youngster struggled to hit his best form under Nuno Espirito Santo last term, claiming three goals and three assists from 41 appearances across all tournaments.

Nevertheless, Traore was selected in Spain's Euro 2020 squad and is thought to be the subject of interest from Chelsea, who are now in position to step up their pursuit of the attacker.

With Spain's European Championship campaign now over following defeat to Italy in the semi-final, the Birmingham Mail reports that Wolves are anticipating Chelsea to make their move soon.

The report adds that Wolves are still holding out for a fee in excess of £40m for Traore - whose contract runs for another two years - but the loan signing of Francisco Trincao from Barcelona means that they are covered on the right wing in the event of Traore's exit.

The 25-year-old only played 13 minutes for Spain at Euro 2020, coming on as a substitute in the dying embers of their 5-0 group-stage win over Slovakia last month.
