How Brazil could line up against Venezuela

Brazil kick off their Copa America title defence with a clash against northern neighbours Venezuela at the Estadio Nacional de Brasilia on Sunday night.

Coming into this tournament on the back of a seven-game winning streak, it is unlikely that head coach Tite will tinker too much to his side ahead of the nation's opening game.

In goal, Tite tends to favour Liverpool keeper Alisson over Manchester City's Ederson, and the former is likely to start between the sticks for the Selecao on Sunday.

Eder Militao could start alongside defensive mainstay Marquinhos at the heart of the defence, although Tite could be tempted to offer Chelsea's Thiago Silva one last dance.

This centre-back pairing is expected to be flanked by dynamic Juventus duo Alex Sandro and Danilo, who are both skilled going forward and have performed well for the Italian giants this season.

Skipper Casemiro will likely be partnered in midfield by Manchester United's Fred, who will offer the back four cover and help propel the team going forward.

Talismanic forward Neymar will lead the line for the Selecao, and he could be joined by Everton's Richarlison, Man City's Gabriel Jesus and Liverpool's Roberto Firmino.

An attack of that calibre could send some serious shivers down the spines of Venezuela's defenders.

Brazil possible starting lineup: Alisson; Danilo, Militao, Marquinhos, Sandro; Richarlison, Casemiro, Fred; Jesus, Firmino, Neymar
