Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Leicester City right-back Timothy Castagne, with the player expected to leave the Foxes following their relegation.

Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign defender Timothy Castagne from Leicester City this summer following the Foxes' relegation to the Championship.

The right-back joined the East Midlands outfit in 2020 from Italian side Atalanta BC, and has since made over 100 appearances for Leicester, scoring five goals.

The 27-year-old played in all but one of the Foxes' Premier League matches this term as they finished 18th, sentencing the club to second-tier football for the first time in nearly a decade.

According to Football.London, Arsenal are amongst a host of teams considering a move for Castagne this summer, with the player expected to move on from the King Power Stadium.

The report claims that the Gunners' main areas to improve this summer are in midfield and defence - Belgium international Castagne could provide support for the likes of Ben White at right-back as the club battle on four fronts next term.

It is believed that Castagne will be available for significantly less than his market value after Leicester were relegated from the Premier League, making a potential deal more attractive for Mikel Arteta's men.
