Super League roundup: Wins for Wigan Warriors, Hull FC

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Friday evening's games in the Super League.

Wigan Warriors have closed the gap to the top of the table by thrashing Castleford Tigers in the Super League this evening.

Joe Burgess and Dom Manfredi both found the try line twice as the reigning champions opened up a commanding lead early on.

Matty Smith had a strong performance with the boot, converting seven of the home side's eight tries, while Ashley Gibson scored the only try of the night for Castleford inside the final 10 minutes.

Warrington Wolves eased to a victory over Hull Kingston Rovers to climb above Huddersfield Giants.

After a quiet start to the match, Warrington scored three tries in nine minutes just before the break to open up a comfortable lead.

There was another run of tries inside the final 10 minutes for the Wolves, with Joel Monaghan finishing with two tries.

Hull FC crushed Widnes Vikings, scoring nine tries in their 56-6 victory.

Paddy Flynn gave Widnes an early lead, but Hull soon started to dominate, ensuring that they were ahead at the break.

Callum Lancaster and Jamie Shaul both finished the match with hat-tricks, with two of Shaul's scores coming inside the final four minutes.

A late comeback from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats has prevented London Broncos from ending their winless run in the Super League.

The visitors led for most of the match as they continued their hunt for their first win of the season, following tries from Matt Cook and Thomas Minns just two minutes apart.

However, Daniel Smith dived over in the corner to level the scores with 15 minutes to play, before a last-minute effort from Matt Ryan sealed the victory for Wakefield.

Results in full: Hull Kingston Rovers 4-34 Warrington Wolves, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 18-10 London Broncos, Widnes Vikings 6-56 Hull FC, Wigan Warriors 46-6 Castleford Tigers
