James Norton reveals that he has received the coronavirus vaccine as he suffers from Type 1 diabetes.

Grantchester actor James Norton has said that he is "happy and relieved" after receiving his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

The 35-year-old heartthrob has been put in the priority group for the jab as he suffers from Type 1 diabetes, which may make him more susceptible to the virus.

The UK is vaccinating its adult population at a blistering rate, with over 22.3 million people now having received a first dose, while there are ambitions for every adult to be offered the vaccine by the end of the summer.

At present those aged 56 and over, as well as those with underlying health conditions, are being vaccinated - and in a post on Instagram, Norton shared his delight at being called up.
