I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! producers reportedly lose a major star from their lineup following the news that the show is returning to Wales.

A "major" celebrity has reportedly pulled out of the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! following the news that the show will take place in Wales rather than Australia.

Earlier this week ITV confirmed that the flagship autumn show will once again be staged at Gwrych Castle in North Wales, with coronavirus travel rules still making a return to Australia impractical.

According to The Sun, one star who had agreed to take part this year "immediately" pulled out after learning that they would have to film in the sodden climes of Wales instead of the Aussie jungle.

"One popular star dropped out immediately," a source said. "Bosses are still in talks with loads of top celebs about taking part and feel confident this won't put people off given last year's success.

"But for some of the talent, roughing it for weeks in wet and cold Wales isn't going to be as much fun as doing that in the Australian jungle.

"Luckily for bosses, the ones who have signed contracts are all still on board. And bosses have still got plenty of time to pull out all the stops when it comes to booking major talent."

The new series begins on ITV in November.
