Hollyoaks star hints at shock return: "It's not over"

Hollyoaks actor Billy Price suggests that Sid Sumner may not be dead after all in a cryptic new video.

Hollyoaks actor Billy Price has appeared to suggest that his character Sid Sumner may not be dead after all.

In an episode that aired earlier this week, Sid was stabbed by evil drugs lord Victor Brothers en route to dobbing him in to the police.

Sid was then seen apparently dying in the arms of Ste (Kieron Richardson), who later announced to the village that his friend had died.

A montage video of Sid's best moments uploaded to the Hollyoaks Instagram account on Thursday features a sudden interruption from Price himself, who has a message for the viewers.

"I'm not going anywhere. What gave you that impression?" he says. "You can't get rid of me that easily. I'll tell you this but you've got to keep it between us. It's not over.

"It feels good to get that off my chest. From the source... that's not the last you'll see of Sydney Sumner."

He adds: "I can't really say anything else so you'll have to watch and find out what happens.

"But thank you for all your support and I'll be seeing you soon, right? Maybe? I guess?"

Fans were quick to speculate about Price's comments, with many suggesting that Sid survived the stabbing and had been taken into witness protection.

Hollyoaks continues weeknights on Channel 4 and E4.
