Manchester City players are reportedly confident that Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane will sign for the Premier League champions in the coming days.

Manchester City players are reportedly optimistic about their chances of lining up alongside Harry Kane this season.

The 28-year-old remains on the Citizens' radar heading into the final week of the transfer window, but Daniel Levy has so far refused to consider selling his star man.

The Spurs chairman is understood to have slapped a £150m asking price on the head of the England captain, who is thought to be desperate to leave in search of his first major trophy.

According to The Athletic, City are preparing to lodge a second bid for Kane after their £100m offer was swiftly rejected, and Pep Guardiola's players are confident that the striker will soon arrive at the Etihad.

However, Levy is allegedly refusing to answer calls from the Premier League champions as he seeks to keep hold of Kane, and City are still thought to be reluctant to fork out the £150m that the Spurs chief is after.

Kane made his first appearance of the season off the bench against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend and remains contracted to Tottenham until 2024.
