Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly refusing to answer calls from Manchester City, who have tabled a fresh £125m bid to sign striker Harry Kane.

The Premier League champions, who had a £100m offer rejected earlier this summer, have ramped up their interest in the England captain and are keen to complete a deal before the August 31 deadline.

Kane himself is looking to move on this summer and believes he was given assurances that he could leave Spurs if they failed to mount a title challenge.

However, The Telegraph reports that Levy remains adamant that Kane will not leave Tottenham this summer and has now stopped answering Man City's calls.

Levy is understood to value Kane at £150m and he is under no pressure to sell the 28-year-old as he has three years remaining on his contract.

Kane reported back to Tottenham's training base last Friday for the first time since Euro 2020 and carried out individual exercises, before re-joining the group for training on Tuesday morning.

The striker could be in contention for Thursday's Europa Conference League clash with Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira, though he is doubtful due to a lack of match fitness.
