Rotherham United snatch draw in final minute

Rotherham United leave it late to secure a draw against Crawley Town, a 96th-minute goal from Kieran Agard ensuring a share of the spoils at the New York Stadium.

Kieran Agard's goal in second-half injury time ensured that Rotherham United drew 2-2 against Crawley Town in today's League One fixture at the New York Stadium.

After a quiet start, the first chance of the game fell to the Millers, as Alex Revell came close to connecting with an Agard pass, but Matthew Sadler did well to stop the rebound.

Just two minutes later, Matt Tubbs scored, as Nicky Adams's cross was palmed away by Adam Collin and the Crawley striker followed in with the rebound.

Ben Pringle was then tackled in the box by Joe Walsh just after the half-hour mark and Agard made no mistake from the spot.

On the stroke of half time, Richard Smallwood found himself with room on the edge of the box, before curling a left-footed effort at goal which sailed just wide.

Midway through the second half, the visitors took the lead through Josh Simpson after a good touch in the box from Tubbs.

Towards the end of the contest, Simpson had a great chance to wrap up the game after some good build-up play with Mike Jones, but his shot hit the side-netting.

He would come to rue the missed opportunity, as a 96th minute goal from Agard ensured that the home side would claim a point.
