How Real Madrid could line up against Leganes

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Sunday's La Liga clash with Leganes.

Real Madrid will round off their 2019-20 La Liga campaign away to Leganes on Sunday night.

Zinedine Zidane's side secured the title on Thursday courtesy of a 2-1 home victory over Villarreal, and their advantage over second-placed Barcelona is actually seven points, with the Catalan giants suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Osasuna on the same night.

Having already secured the title, there is not an awful lot for the capital side to play for, but the same cannot be said for Leganes, who are still battling to remain in Spain's top flight.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Los Blancos could line up in Sunday's clash.

POSS RM XI vs. LEG

Out: Marcelo (adductor)

Madrid's squad is in excellent shape at the moment when it comes to injuries, with Marcelo, who is struggling with an adductor issue, their only confirmed absentee heading into Sunday's contest.

There is a chance that Zidane could shuffle his pack from the Villarreal game, although it is unlikely that the Frenchman will make wholesale changes.

Indeed, Los Blancos will have a gap of 19 days before their Champions League last-16 second leg against Manchester City, meaning that alterations for this game could be minimal.

Marco Asensio, Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde are three players who could come into the XI, though, with Eden Hazard and Rodrygo Goes potentially rotating out of the attack.

Gareth Bale has hardly featured in recent weeks, but the Wales international could again be left frustrated here, as the likes of Isco and Lucas Vazquez are also ahead of him in the pecking order.

It could be Toni Kroos's turn to sit out in midfield, meanwhile, with Valverde in line to feature alongside Casemiro and Luka Modric in the middle of the park.
