Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says that he continues to have 'positive discussions' with Paul Pogba.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he continues to have 'positive discussions' with Paul Pogba amid the speculation surrounding the midfielder's future.

The France international only has 11 months left to run on his deal at Old Trafford, and Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly linked with his services during this summer's transfer window.

Lionel Messi's arrival in Paris has seemingly ended Pogba's chances of moving to the French giants this summer, but the club are said to be keen to sign him on a free transfer next summer.

Solskjaer has insisted that there is no issue with the World Cup winner, who is expected to be involved in Saturday's 2021-22 Premier League opener against Leeds United.

"He is a Man United player, one year left on contract. It's been spoken and written about so often, every discussion I've had with Paul is a positive one," Solskjaer told reporters.

"He knows what we want and hopefully he keeps on in the background and they make decisions, it'll always be like with this with Paul, he's a media magnet."

Pogba is thought to be open to the idea of running down the final year of his contract with the 20-time English champions before leaving on a free transfer for a second time.
