Report: Manchester United raise Paul Pogba asking price

Manchester United have hardened their stance on Paul Pogba following comments made by his agent and they are now after close to £200m from Real Madrid, a report claims.

Manchester United have reportedly further raised their asking price for Paul Pogba after his agent's attempt to force a move to Real Madrid.

Mino Raiola revealed last week that he was "in the process" of working on a transfer for the France international, who has himself declared that he wants "a new challenge" away from Old Trafford.

In the wake of those recent comments, the Evening Standard claims that United have hardened their stance and they now want more than their original £150m asking price.

Instead, the report indicates that it will take something close to a world-record sum - currently held by Neymar following his £198m switch from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain two years ago - for a move to go through.

Juventus had been tipped to move for Pogba, but Madrid are believed to be the only side in with a realistic chance of landing his signature.
