Raphael Varane will reportedly fly to the UK on Thursday after being granted a visa to complete his move to Manchester United from Real Madrid.

Raphael Varane is reportedly edging closer to becoming a Manchester United player after being granted a visa to travel to the UK.

The Red Devils announced last month that they had agreed a fee with Real Madrid for the World Cup-winning Frenchman, rumoured to be an initial £34m plus add-ons.

However, Varane's move to Old Trafford has been held up due to visa issues, while he will also have to undergo a mandatory quarantine period upon arrival in the country.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano now claims that the centre-back's visa situation has finally been resolved, and he will fly to Manchester later on Thursday to begin his quarantine.

Romano adds that Varane will pen a four-year deal with the club once his quarantine period and medical have both been completed, but he will not be ready for United's opening Premier League game against Leeds United following his arrival from an amber list country.

Varane leaves Real Madrid after winning three La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns during a glittering 10-year spell, as well as racking up 17 goals from 360 appearances.
