Paris Saint-Germain are increasingly unlikely to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain are increasingly unlikely to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, according to a report.

The 28-year-old, who is entering the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, has been linked with a move to the French capital, with the Ligue 1 club considering making an official offer.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the imminent arrival of Lionel Messi to PSG means that the club need to sell or loan out around 10 players if they wish to sign another high-profile player, such as Pogba, this summer.

United would like to keep hold of Pogba, who is relaxed about his situation, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is preparing to include the Frenchman in his squad for the start of the new season.

The Red Devils remain in talks with the midfielder over a new contract, but if an agreement cannot be reached then he will be able to negotiate pre-contract agreements with other clubs and leave for free next summer.

Pogba has made 199 appearances across all competitions for United since his arrival from Juventus in 2016, scoring 38 goals and providing 42 assists.
