Paul Pogba 'to stay at Manchester United for another year'

Manchester United reportedly expect Paul Pogba to remain at the club for another year despite the midfielder's declaration that he wants to leave this summer.

Manchester United are reportedly confident that Paul Pogba will remain at Old Trafford for another year despite the midfielder's declaration that he wants to leave this summer.

The 26-year-old told reporters in Japan last month that he wanted to seek a "new challenge" elsewhere - a notion since underscored by his agent Mino Raiola.

Real Madrid, who fought to sign Pogba in 2016, are reportedly keen on securing the midfielder's signature but will have to meet United's £180m valuation if they want to sign him in this window.

According to The Express, United do not expect their talisman to leave the club until next year, when he will only have one year left on his contract.

Los Blancos are reportedly willing to be patient in their approach for Pogba, having already spent £300m on transfers this summer.

United have reportedly pinpointed Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a long-term replacement for Pogba but are not actively pursuing the Serbia international ahead of the transfer deadline on August 8.
