Juan Mata is reportedly set to join Galatasaray after being without a club since leaving Manchester United in the summer.

Former Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is reportedly set to sign for Super Lig side Galatasaray.

The Spaniard has searching for a new club after leaving Manchester United in June following the expiry of his contract.

Mata was believed to have had offers from clubs in the MLS, Premier League and La Liga, but he looks to be heading to the Turkey

According to Ali Naci Kucuk, the 34-year-old has flown to Istanbul to sign for Galatasaray after agreeing personal terms with the club.

Mata is expected to put pen to paper on a one-year deal that will see the former Spain international earn €1.8m (£1.6m).
