Premier League 2015-16 in numbers: Week 7

Sports Mole reflects on the seventh batch of Premier League fixtures with a selection of facts and figures from each match.

Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Manchester City

Harry Kane scored 21 Premier League goals last term, but his strike in this victory was his first goal in the Premier League this campaign.

The win for the North Londoners ended a run of four straight defeats against Man City.

The Citizens conceded four goals in a league match against Spurs for the first time since 1962.

Leicester City 2-5 Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez is the first player to have scored a hat-trick in the top flights of Italy, Spain and England.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's Theo Walcott took his goal tally to 12 in his last 13 starts.

Up the other end, Leicester's Jamie Vardy scored in his fourth successive outing - the first time he has ever achieved that feat in his career.

Liverpool 3-2 Aston Villa

James Milner's goal after 66 seconds is the quickest that has been scored in the Premier League this season.

Also, Liverpool's two-goal hero Daniel Sturridge got his name on the scoresheet for the first time since March.

As for visiting Villa, they have won only one of their last nine Premier League games.

Manchester United 3-0 Sunderland

Man United captain Wayne Rooney ended a Premier League goal drought that dated back to April and 1,000 minutes.

Only Sir Bobby Charlton (199) and Jack Rowley (182) have scored more league goals for the Red Devils than Rooney (171).

The Black Cats have now lost 10 Premier League games on the bounce, losing six and drawing four.

Southampton 3-1 Swansea City

Dusan Tadic has scored three goals in his last three appearances for Southampton at the St Mary's Stadium.

Virgil van Dijk, who arrived in August for a reported £13m from Celtic, scored his first goal in Southampton colours.

Despite the defeat, the visiting Swans still had 59% of the possession over the course of the 90 minutes.

Stoke City 2-1 Bournemouth

Of the last 14 Premier League goals that Jonathan Walters has scored for Stoke, 12 have come at the Britannia Stadium.

Also on the scoresheet for the Potters was Mame Biram Diouf, who has now scored five goals in his last seven appearances.

Bournemouth's Dan Gosling scored his first league goal since 2011 when he was a Newcastle player.

West Ham United 2-2 Norwich

Of West Ham's 13-point haul this season, only four of them have been collected in front of their own supporters at Upton Park.

Dimitri Payet has been a key player for the Hammers this term, but he touched the ball in the Norwich box just twice in this encounter.

As for the Canaries, they have only been able to beat the East Londoners once in the last nine meetings between the two sides.

Newcastle United 2-2 Chelsea

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is still without a victory at St James' Park, with three draws and three losses to show from his six trips to Tyneside.

His side have conceded two or more goals in five successive games for the first time since 1992.

Newcastle, along with North-East rivals Sunderland, are the only side to have not won a Premier League match this season.

Watford 0-1 Crystal Palace

Alan Pardew has taken charge of 12 away Premier League matches as manager of Palace, nine of which have ended in victories.

Summer signing Yohan Cabaye scored his first goal for the Eagles since the opening day of the campaign.

The hosting Hornets may have lost the game, but they are still yet to concede a goal in the first half of a Premier League match this term.

West Bromwich Albion 2-3 Everton

West Brom manager Tony Pulis tasted defeat for the first time in the Premier League when his side had taken a two-goal lead.

Everton's three goals came with what were their first three shots on target.

The Toffees had only previously come back from two goals down to win once in the Premier League - that was 21 years ago against Wimbledon.
