Brighton & Hove Albion boss Graham Potter confirms that Enock Mwepu will miss Saturday's Premier League game at home against Manchester United due to a groin injury.

Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Graham Potter has confirmed that Enock Mwepu will miss Saturday's Premier League game at home against Manchester United due to injury.

The 24-year-old Zambia international has been a first-team regular for the Seagulls this term, scoring three goals and providing six assists in 21 appearances across all competitions.

However, the midfielder picked up a groin strain and was forced off midway through the second half of Brighton's 3-0 defeat away at Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

Mwepu is now unlikely play again this season and is set for another spell on the sidelines having already spent around two months out with a hamstring problem between January and March this year.

"Enock [Mwepu] will miss United, a slight injury in his groin which probably means that will be him for the rest of the season," Potter told reporters at press conference.
The Seagulls boss added: "Jeremy [Sarmiento] is still out, Jakub [Moder] is obviously long-term, but everyone else is okay."

Brighton will be looking to end a seven-game losing run against Man United and victory on Saturday would see them consolidate ninth place in the table.
