Manchester City may reportedly contemplate paying the £100m asking price for Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski.

Manchester City may reportedly be prepared to contemplate a £100m bid for Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski.

After a legendary seven-year spell at the Allianz Arena, the Poland international is said to be keen to take on a new challenge.

With the player turning 33 years of age on Saturday, it has been suggested that any interested clubs would refuse to pay his £100m asking price this summer.

However, according to The Express, City would struggle to turn down an opportunity to sign a player with Lewandowski's record if he became available.

The experienced frontman has two years remaining on his contract, giving Bayern some leeway when it comes to negotiations over the next two weeks.

As it stands, City's priority is to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, but they may have to pay at least £150m to get a deal over the line.
