Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly decide to press ahead with their efforts to sign Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will reportedly press ahead with their plans to sign Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho.

The 19-year-old featured in the Liverpool first team this season - which included an FA Cup tie against Wolves in January - but the Portuguese does not see his long-term future at Anfield.

Camacho has been linked with a return to Sporting Lisbon this summer having previously spent time at the club, although it appears that Wolves are the most likely destination for the prospect.

According to the Express & Star, Wolves are ready to negotiate a deal with Liverpool, who are currently looking for a fee in the region of £10m.

Wolves have qualified for the preliminary rounds of the Europa League, and Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to try to strengthen his squad given the possibility of extra games during the next campaign.

Camacho has just a year left on his contract at the Merseyside giants.
