Liverpool demand £13m for Xherdan Shaqiri?

Liverpool are happy to sanction Xherdan Shaqiri's exit if they receive a fee of £13m this summer, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly after a fee of £13m to part ways with out-of-favour attacker Xherdan Shaqiri this summer.

The Switzerland international has failed to displace the likes of Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in Jurgen Klopp's team and is widely expected to push for an exit.

Shaqiri is not prepared to ponder his Anfield future until after Switzerland's Euro 2020 campaign concludes, but the Merseyside giants are reportedly prepared to accept a modest figure for his departure.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds will sanction a sale if they receive a bid of £13m this summer, and Italian giants Lazio are expected to make an approach in the upcoming window.

The report adds that Liverpool will not go out of their way to offload Shaqiri, and he could remain at the club with other fringe players such as Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino if no suitor tables an acceptable offer.

Shaqiri's Liverpool deal does not expire until 2023, and he lasted 73 minutes of Switzerland's shock Euro 2020 last-16 victory over France on Monday evening.
