Charlie Austin misses out for Burnley's trip to Elland Road after having his appendix removed.

Charlie Austin has been forced to sit out Burnley's trip to face Leeds United at Elland Road this evening after having his appendix removed earlier today.

The striker, who has netted 24 goals for far this season, is replaced by Martin Paterson, while on-loan midfielder Alex Kacaniklic comes in for Junior Stanislas.

Meanwhile, there are three changes for the home side to the lineup that started against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.

Tom Lees comes into the back four in place of Adam Drury, while Michael Tonge replaces David Norris in midfield.

Upfront, El Hadji Diouf joins Ross McCormack in place of Steve Morison.

Leeds: Kenny, Lees, Pearce, Warnock, Green, Austin, Varney, Tonge, Byram, Diouf, McCormack

Burnley: Grant, Trippier, Shackell, Long, Mee, McCann, Wallace, Marney, Kacaniklic, Vokes, Paterson
