How Juventus could line up against Cagliari

Sports Mole looks at how Juventus could line up for Wednesday's Serie A clash with Cagliari.

Fresh from winning a ninth straight Scudetto, Juventus return to action on Wednesday evening with a trip to Cagliari.

The Bianconeri wrapped up top spot with two games to spare and can now afford to switch focus to next month's Champions League last-16 second leg against Lyon.

Maurizio Sarri has a couple of fresh injuries to contend with, however, as Paulo Dybala and Danilo left the pitch during the first half of Sunday's title-clinching win over Sampdoria.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the champions could line up against Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena.

Possible Juventus XI vs. Cagliari

Out: Sami Khedira (tendon), Mattia De Sciglio (thigh), Giorgio Chiellini (muscle), Douglas Costa (thigh)
Doubtful: Paulo Dybala (thigh), Danilo (head)

The extent of Dybala's thigh injury is unknown, but he seems certain to miss Juve's remaining two league games of the season.

The same is true for Danilo, who was lucky to escape any serious damage after suffering a nasty head injury at the weekend.

To make matters worse for Sarri, Douglas Costa's campaign may also be over after damaging his thigh in training last week.

Even without those injuries to contend with, changes can be expected on Wednesday as Sarri looks to freshen things up with an eye on the rearranged Lyon tie.

Gianluigi Buffon is in line to replace Wojciech Szczesny in goal and Gonzalo Higuain, who has also been struggling with a knock, will also be hopeful of gaining some minutes.
