Fulham boss Kit Symons hands debuts to five of his summer signings for their Championship opener with Cardiff City.

Fulham boss Kit Symons has handed debuts to five of his summer signings for their Championship opener at Cardiff City.

Tom Cairney, Jamie O'Hara and Ben Pringle have all been started in midfield, while Jazz Richards will begin the match at right-back.

Symons has also given a starting role to goalkeeper Andy Lonergan, who signed for the Cottagers after leaving Bolton Wanderers on a free transfer.

As for Cardiff, manager Russell Slade names a side made up of players who were at the club during the last campaign, but new signing Sammy Ameobi does feature on the substitutes bench.

Cardiff City: Moore; Peltier, Malone, Morrison, Connolly; Dikgacoi, Whittingham, Pilkington, Ralls; Revell, Mason
