Melodifestivalen final to be offered with English commentary
The final of Melodifestivalen - Sweden's selection contest for Eurovision - will be streamed this weekend with an English language commentary option for the first time.

The final of Melodifestivalen will be offered this weekend with an English language commentary option, Swedish broadcaster SVT has announced.

The annual contest to find Sweden's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest has a large fanbase outside of the country and is streamed online for free on SVT's website.

With the grand conclusion of this year's contest taking place on Saturday night, SVT has decided to make an English commentary feed available for the first time.

Journalists and Eurovision super fans Olivia Le Poidevin and Bella Qvist will provide the voiceover as the 12 finalists take to the stage with their potential entries for the final time.

Anette Brattstrom, Melfest's project manager, said: "It feels good to be able to reach out with Melodifestivalen to fans outside of Sweden, a body of viewers that year after year show their love for the programme which has never been returned.

"With their dedication and their love for the show Olivia and Bella will guide our English-speaking viewers through the night in a fantastic way."

The final airs from 7pm UK time on Saturday on SVT Play.
