Wendi Peters reportedly quits her role on Doctors just seven months after making her debut.

Wendi Peters has reportedly quit her role as Nina Bulsara on Doctors seven months after making her screen debut.

The former Coronation Street star joined the medical soap as a new partner at Mill Health Centre in February but is thought to have filmed her final scenes last week.

The initial report by respected Instagram fan account @doctorsbbc seemed to be confirmed by Peters herself as she subsequently took to the platform to share a picture of leaving cards and flowers.

"Feeling thoroughly spoilt," she wrote, accompanying her post with heart emojis and the hashtag #thankyou.

Episodes of Doctors are usually filmed three months in advance, meaning that with the soap's annual Christmas break being factored in, Peters may not make her on-screen exit until early next year.
