Olivia Rodrigo holds on to top spot after close chart battle

Olivia Rodrigo sees off Lil Tjay and 6LACK to make it six weeks on top of the UK singles chart.

Olivia Rodrigo has prevailed in a close chart battle to make it six weeks on top of the UK singles chart with 'Drivers License'.

Lil Tjay and 6LACK's 'Calling My Phone' had been on course for the number one spot but trailed off later in the week and - despite an impressive 7.2 million streams - finished 1,700 copies behind for second place.

Nathan Evans's 'Wellerman' drops a place to three, while Anne-Marie, KSI and Digital Farm Animals collab 'Don't Play' holds at four and The Kid Laroi's 'Without You' is down two to five.

Taylor Swift's rerelease of her 2008 track 'Love Story' as 'Love Story (Taylor's Version)' opens at 12, while further down the chart, 2019 Eurovision winner Duncan Laurence is up to 33 as 'Arcade' goes viral two years on.

On the albums chart, British rapper Slowthai debuts at the top with Tyron after outselling last week's chart-topper, Foo Fighters' Medicine at Midnight, by 2 to 1.
