LadBaby claims Christmas number one with fastest-selling single of 2020

LadBaby claim a third consecutive Christmas number one with 'Don't Stop Me Eatin''.

LadBaby has stormed to this year's Christmas number one with the fastest-selling single of the year.

The husband-and-wife duo's 'Don't Stop Me Eatin'' notched up chart sales of 158,000 during Christmas week, some 93% of which were downloads and physical sales - helping to raise funds for food charity The Trussell Trust.

LadBaby also become only the third act in history to claim three consecutive Christmas number ones, equalling a record also held by The Beatles and the Spice Girls.

"From the bottom of our hearts, we just want to say thank you again to everybody," LadBaby told OfficialCharts.com. "We can't believe that, a third year on, we've had so much support yet again.

"We're trying to raise money for an amazing cause, so thank you.

"Merry Christmas to everyone and don't stop believin' – that things are going to get better. 2021 is going to be better for everyone."

Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas' is at two, followed by Wham's 'Last Christmas' at three and 'This Christmas' by Jess Glynne at four.

Boris Johnson protest song 'Boris Johnson Is A F***ing C**t' by a group called The Kunts finishes up at number five.

Meanwhile, Sir Paul McCartney claims the festive number one on the albums chart with McCartney III, his first solo number one album in 31 years.
