Brooklyn Beckham approached by Strictly Come Dancing?

Strictly Come Dancing producers reportedly contact Brooklyn Beckham about appearing on this year's show.

Brooklyn Beckham has emerged as a shock contender to appear on this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The eldest son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham recently announced his engagement to model Nicola Peltz after dating for just seven months and is reportedly planning to tie the knot in Italy next year.

According to the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old was presented with an offer by Strictly a fortnight ago as producers look to finalise this year's lineup with some big names.

"Brooklyn would be a dream signing for Strictly. He is being written about absolutely everywhere," a source told the newspaper.

"He has a huge social media following and would raise the profile of the show, not just in the UK, but also in America.

"The issue, though, is that Brooklyn is a shy boy and, other than dancing at the odd party, he doesn't have much experience."

With a rumoured maximum fee of £60,000, should Brooklyn take up the offer it would be purely for the challenge rather than monetary benefit.
