Welsh goalkeeper Scott van-der-Sluis leaves his club in order to enter the Love Island villa.

Welsh goalkeeper Scott van-der-Sluis has become the latest bombshell to enter the Love Island villa.

The 22-year-old previously spent five years at the Liverpool academy and for the last year had been signed to Irish side Shelbourne, but he has now quit the club in order to take part in the ITV2 dating show.

"Football is all I've ever done, all I've ever known," he explained. "So this is a new and exciting opportunity for a change up in life."

Asked for his best qualities, he replied: "Tall, dark, handsome and I'm a goalkeeper, so I'm good with my hands!"

Shelbourne manager Damien Duff said: "I was shocked and saddened that Scott chose a villa in Mallorca full of beautiful, single women over myself, the staff and the players.

"All jokes aside, I thank Scott for his services to Shelbourne FC and we all wish him the very best for the future, whatever that holds."

Love Island continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
