Latest Drag Race UK queen to leave explains exit

The latest queen to depart RuPaul's Drag Race UK explains their exit from the show.

Ginny Lemon has admitted that it was "hard to explain" their decision to walk off during the lip synch on the latest episode of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.

In an episode that featured guest judge Lorraine Kelly coaching the queens through a morning talkshow, Ginny Lemon was named in the bottom two alongside Sister Sister.

When the lip synch began, however, Ginny simply walked off stage and quit the competition, in the process allowing Sister Sister to stay.

"I did it for so many reasons," Ginny told BBC Three Online. "I think it's even hard to explain what was going through my head at the time."

They continued: "I went there to break the binary, I went there to be myself, I did not go there to win a competition.

"I was having a fabulous time and I was challenged to do lots of things but ultimately I'm not a competitor, I'm an icon.

"I went on that show to do my own thing and that's exactly what I've done. So I'm very smug with myself right now."

The next episode of RuPaul's Drag Race UK is released Thursday at 7pm via BBC Three.
