Two new female bombshells have entered the Love Island villa as the first week of the new series comes to a close.

The first is 30-year-old dental nurse Charlotte Sumner from Bournemouth, who says that she is 'hard work but worth it'.

"Friends and family kept telling me to apply for Love Island so I thought, why not?" she said before joining the show. "The age I'm at and the experiences I've had, I feel ready to meet my Mr Right.

"I'll bring fun! I'm very genuine, I'm a girls' girl, I give good advice but sometimes I need to take the advice that I give to my girls."

Also new to the group is Leah Taylor, a 27-year-old owner of a social media business from Manchester who is good friends with former Islander Maura Higgins.

"I've realised through past experiences exactly what I want in life when it comes to love," she said. "I'm ready to find it now and I'm not going to wait around.

"I've figured out what it is that I look for in a person, which means my bar is set really high.

"I think I will bring lots of fun, positive vibes, good advice and hopefully all the love that I'm ready to give to the right guy."

Love Island continues daily at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
