Beverley Callard has lavished praise on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! campmate Jordan North, describing him as "the kindest, gentlest person".

The Coronation Street legend was voted off the show on Monday night and appeared on the latest episode of ITV Hub's The Daily Drop to reflect on her time in the castle.

"I fell in love with Jordan completely," she said. "I'd never met him before, until that first day when the first sight of him was him throwing up on the cliff top. I was thinking 'who is this guy?'

"When you meet someone eye to eye... he's got the warmest eyes, he's the kindest, gentlest person but also is just naturally funny.

"He doesn't try, it just pours out of him. He's gorgeous."

Callard also spoke highly of Vernon Kay, saying: "Vernon's got a really soft side to him, he's deeply sensitive. He's a really kind, home-loving guy."

New episodes of I'm A Celebrity... The Daily Drop are released on the ITV Hub every morning.
