Curtis and AJ Pritchard both claim not to have heard any negative feedback about their much-derided stint on Hollyoaks.

Curtis Pritchard and AJ Pritchard have both claimed to be oblivious to the criticism of their acting skills on Hollyoaks.

Earlier this year the brothers - both trained dancers - joined the Channel 4 soap playing duplicitous twins Marco and Jacob, who were hellbent on causing trouble for dance teacher Trish, played by soap veteran Denise Welch.

The characters drew attention for all the wrong reasons, however, as clips of their scenes went viral and drew widespread derision.

Asked about the negativity by OK! magazine, Curtis said: "Up to this moment I felt absolutely nothing about it because I hadn't realised anybody had said anything."

AJ also said he was unaware of any criticism, adding: "If someone's got constructive criticism, 100% that's great, but if it's just negativity then it's not something I'm going to waste my energy and time on that.

"I've learned to go for the positives and not the negatives."

After just a few scenes, the characters appear to have been quietly written out of the show.
