Stephen Mulhern is drafted in to co-host Dancing On Ice after Phillip Schofield tests positive for coronavirus.

Stephen Mulhern is to fill in for Phillip Schofield on this weekend's episode of Dancing On Ice, it has been confirmed.

Schofield has been self-isolating since Monday night after testing positive for coronavirus - although a recent change to government rules means that he could have technically still hosted the show if he returned negative tests on Saturday and Sunday morning.

ITV has decided to just give the This Morning presenter the week off, however, and have instead drafted in channel favourite Mulhern to host alongside Holly Willoughby.

"While Phil is off recovering, Stephen was delighted to be asked to step in to fill his shoes and present alongside Holly," a source told The Mirror.

"He gets on with everyone so bosses are more than happy for him to step up. Everyone's wishing Phil a quick recovery and hoping to see him back in his rightful place later this month."

Dancing On Ice continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
