GB News poaches Mark Dolan from talkRADIO for new show
Mark Dolan is to take over from Nana Akua as weekend host of GB News' Tonight Live.

GB News has announced that it has hired comedian Mark Dolan to take over the evening slot on weekends.

The move comes as the broadcaster makes a number of tweaks to its schedule, including bringing in Nigel Farage to host a new early evening weekday show.

Dolan - a host on talkRADIO for the last two years - will take over Tonight Live from Nana Akua on Friday and Saturday nights and will also host the show on Sundays, with Dan Wootton dropping down from five days a week to four.

"I've had a wonderful time at talkRADIO but the opportunity to shake up current affairs broadcasting with GB News is just too good to miss," said Dolan.

"My show will tackle the issues that really matter to people across the United Kingdom in a stimulating, informative but entertaining way. My one promise is that it won't be boring!"

Akua, meanwhile, will host a new show at 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
