The man accused of assaulting Katie Price at her home is re-bailed until later in the week.

The man accused of assaulting Katie Price at her home last month has been re-bailed until later this week.

The 43-year-old was hospitalised in the early hours of August 23 for facial injuries after claiming that she was "punched" by the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in an "unprovoked" attack.

Police arrested a 32-year-old suspect and released him on bail until September 20, although he has now been re-bailed pending further investigations.

"Police have asked for more time to get to the bottom of exactly what went on," a source told Metro.

"Investigators will continue to look into the night in question with a variety of forms of evidence to establish what happened before they make a decision whether they will charge the man in question or not."

Price has yet to comment publicly on the incident.
