Gary Hollywood - best known for his role as Dino on Mrs Brown's Boys - is reportedly wanted for the new series of Dancing On Ice.

Mrs Brown's Boys star Gary Hollywood is reportedly wanted for a turn on the new series of Dancing On Ice.

The actor played stepson Dino on the BBC comedy until last year, when he left the show in a row over pay and has since started legal action over the circumstances surrounding his exit.

According to The Sun, Hollywood recently auditioned for a place on Dancing On Ice, which is expected to return for a new series in January 2022.

"Gary has tried out on the rink for bosses and they are really keen to get him on board for the upcoming series," a source told the newspaper.

"Mrs Brown's Boys has a huge following so it would be great to get one of the stars on the show.

"He's a real character and not worried about speaking his mind, so would make great TV."

ITV is not expected to confirm the final lineup of celebrities taking part until the end of September.
