The Wanted officially reunite after almost eight years
The Wanted announce their comeback with new music and a greatest hits album.

The Wanted have officially reunited and announced plans for new music and a greatest hits album.

The five piece - Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker, Nathan Sykes and Max George - went on hiatus in early 2014 after a five-year spell where they notched up hits including 'Glad You Came' and 'All Time Low'.

The news comes a year after Parker, 33, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer - although his treatment so far has proved successful in shrinking the tumour.

As part of their reunion project, the boyband will perform at a Stand Up To Cancer gig - organised by Parker - on September 20 in what will be their first performance together in almost eight years.

"We have been talking off and on for a few years now about getting back together to do something but have all been working on other projects at different times so it didn't happen," said McGuiness.

"This is all about having fun with our mates, no pressure, just FUN."

The group's greatest hits album is due for release on November 12.
